Phillip has spent most of his 35 + years in the profession as a business, commercial, and real estate lawyer. However, Phillip has experience in all areas of law and with this knowledge, is able to assist clients with their affairs in a comprehensive manner so as to avoid future conflicts in any circumstance.
Phillip was the founding and managing partner of his own law firm, Stuffco Olsen, for nearly two decades whereby he acted for commercial banking institutions, large real estate developers, large multinational corporations, and small businesses operating throughout the Province of Alberta. Between 1997 to 2001, Phillip focused his attention on international business and contractual law whereby he was admitted to the Law Society of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Since that time, Phillip has continued to act as legal counsel for large corporations within the manufacturing sector. Phillip enjoys working small business and individuals and invites potential clients to contact him for assistance with all of their commercial, corporate, real estate and civil law issues.
In 2006, Phillip was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) designation. In the province of Alberta, it is a tradition that selected lawyers be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the legal profession or in public life by being appointed as Queen’s Counsel. Over this three decades of professional service, Phillip has actively participated in training numerous young lawyers for the legal profession.
Phillip has volunteered his spare time over the last three decades to help addressing First Nations and Metis issues throughout Alberta, as well as supporting a range of sporting events for young people, including minor hockey to synchronized swimming. Phillip is a long time member of the Edmonton business community and is proud to call Edmonton his home.
